Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self-Care has a wonderful ease to it. Its effectiveness is not dependent on expertise, and is therefore accessible by novices and long time practitioners alike. Best of all, you can do it anywhere: couch, car, bed, at the movies- even while jogging. No special equipment, clothing, or environment is needed. By simply holding fingers, thumbs and key areas of the body, you can increase daily energy levels, take care of ordinary aches and pains, lower stress, improve overall well-being.
This beautiful, simple Art is our inheritance. Our hands are used as our built-in “jumper cables” to energize the body’s run down battery. This enables us to help ourselves and those who are in need. “I have taken Jin Shin Jyutsu classes for a year, a class on each of the 3 self help books. I started my first class in Jan .08 because of pain, swelling, stiffness and decreased mobility surrounding both knees. Using the self help techniques and therapeutic sessions with practitioners led me to wellness. Another problem that was resolved was an unexpected surprise. Since the age of 66, I’d started to lean forward, I thought it was part of getting old until I took the class on Book III. About Jin Shin Jyutsu® Group Self-Care Workshops:

Learning Jin Shin Jyutsu® engages one in self study; self-care. It is easy to learn and can help develop a fresh and positive outlook on life. Through the re-awakening of one’s awareness and understanding of “NOW KNOW MYSELF”, we recognize the wisdom of the body, and learn to interpret the messages provided and utilize them to restore balance and vitality.

 Discover this simple, yet powerful art and learn to help yourself.
No prerequisite needed for any of these classes! It is not necessary to take them in order although Book 1 lays the foundation. You may take the whole series or any one you choose. To help with your busy life we offer flexible scheduling of workshops. Jin Shin Jyutsu® is learned through repetition and experience, therefore these classes can be repeated for added benefit.

Series #1     Self-Help Book 1     cost $95 (includes book 1)

6 hours to complete this series on Book 1

Classes are scheduled in two formats, either Saturday from 9am-4 pm workshop or 3-2 hour workshops during weekday evenings.


Series #2     Self-Help Book 2   cost $95 (includes book 2)

Refresher workshops tuition for Series 1, 2, or 3 are $50 each.

Books can also be purchased separately.

Note: Mary Burmeister’s self-help books and charts are available for purchase from Key Elements for health or the JSJ office in Scottsdale at any time.

Book 1: This class covers Mary Burmeister’s Self-Help Book 1. This book is meant to be complete in itself. The class will cover the fundamental principles and Physio-Philosophy, learn about “attitudes” and how they are the cause for all disharmonies, as well as the power of holding fingers, basic flow sequences, “quickies”, and more! There will be ample hands on time. Anyone can take this class. Book Cost $15

Book 2: This class covers Mary Burmeister’s Self-Help book 2. We find and learn about each of the 26 areas called “Safety Energy Locks” which are the keys to unlocking our true selves, learn more “quickies”, and have plenty of hands on time to experience the art of self-care. Mary called the safety energy locks “our truest friends”. No prerequisite. Book Cost $15

Book 3: This class covers Mary Burmeister’s Self-Help Book 3. We will go deeper into the power of fingers and toes, learn the finger poses Jiro Murai used in his mountain cabin that were the beginnings of Jin Shin Jyutsu®, and more. There will be plenty of hands on time to truly experience the art of self-care. No prerequisite. Book Cost $15

Happy Hands: This is a playful book is meant for children. It has drawings showing children placing their hands on areas of their body to heal anything from a stomach ache to a scraped knee. Book Cost $15
