Jin Shin Jyutsu®

“For those of us addressing existing stress or health disharmonies, or for those wishing to participate actively in maintaining health, vitality and well-being, the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu® is a simple powerful tool, available to all.” – Mary Burmeister

What is Jin Shin Jyutsu® (pronounced “jin shin jitsu”)?

The art of Jin Shin Jyutsu® Physio-Philosophy (JSJ) helps the body return to a harmonious state and provides relief from physical and emotional conditions. Jin Shin Jyutsu® also facilitates our inherent ability to heal, making it a valuable complement when used with Western medical methods, inducing relaxation, and reducing the effects of stress.

Jin Shin Jyutsu® is a gentle healing art. It comes from ancient tradition that works with the vibratory pathways that feed life to the cells in the body. When one or more of these pathways become blocked or weakened, it leads to an imbalance of physical, mental and/or emotional well-being. It is known that systems which deal with the body’s vibrational energy – acupuncture for example – were fully developed medical systems over 5000 years ago. The Kojiki (Record of Ancient Things – Japan 712AD), housed in the archives of the Imperial Palace in Japan contains the earliest written records of Jin Shin Jyutsu®. The art of Jin Shin Jyutsu® was revived by Master Jiro Murai in Japan at the beginning of the 20th century. In the 1950’s, it was brought as a gift to the United States by his long-time student Mary Burmeister. There are now many practitioners and students around the world. What can Jin Shin Jyutsu® do for you?

Jin Shin Jyutsu® helps anything and everything. For example, Jin Shin Jyutsu® helps with allergies, headaches, stress, illness/disease, digestive disorders, depression, women’s issues, men’s issues, emotional distress, respiratory problems, arthritis, skin problems, chronic fatigue, Lyme disease, stroke, and/or brain injury. It also assists in healing injuries (including surgery), reduces the effects of pain, stress, and fatigue, strengthens the immune system, and helps with the side effects of chemotherapy. Jin Shin Jyutsu® is also known to be helpful for fertility problems and is beneficial during and after pregnancy. (These claims made have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.)

Jin Shin Jyutsu® is an adjunct and partner to Western medicine. Gail, owner of Key Elements for Health, offers a prime example. A few years ago, Gail’s appendix ruptured. She went to the hospital and the doctor operated, removing the appendix. Afterward, she used self-care routines and received sessions from Jin Shin Jyutsu® practitioners to help herself heal more quickly.

Jin Shin Jyutsu® can be used to help the body cope with ‘medical procedures’ and is a particularly powerful pre- and post- surgery tool. It can also assist in your journey toward optimal health.
