FAQs

Is it safe for my pet?

Yes, Jin Shin Jyutsu® is entirely safe and entirely non-invasive. Many clients receive Jin Shin Jyutsu® sessions themselves as well as bring their animals for sessions.

What training have you had?

Gail attained practitioner level by taking several five-day training seminars from the instructors chosen by Mary Ino Burmeister, the woman who introduced Jin Shin Jyutsu® to America; and is a certified practitioner through the Jin Shin Jyutsu main office located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Gail generally takes 2 or more classes each year and has mentored with instructors at the Jin Shin Jyutsu® main office in Scottsdale, Arizona. All practitioners at Key Elements for Animals are certified practitioners with the Scottsdale office and actively enroll in continuing education through additional practitioner-level classes.
Each practitioner has had experience with animals and understands them.

Will my animal feel better right away?

Generally animals usually feel deeply relaxed right away, which allows their body to begin to heal itself. There is generally a reduction in symptoms, but the degree can very. Acute symptoms generally see results more quickly.

Will the animal feel any pain?

No. Key Elements for Animals practitioners’ touch is sensitive to whatever pain your animal may be experiencing when we begin. Animals are very aware of this healing energy and enjoy the session time, but if there is discomfort the animal will let the practitioner know through their body language.

Is it safe?

Yes, Jin Shin Jyutsu® is entirely safe and entirely non-invasive.

Gail’s personal experience was relief from a chronic pain condition, and for many years she has used Jin Shin Jyutsu® to help her animals.

What influences this treatment plan?

Your pet’s response to each session, along with the owner’s ability to apply self-care routines to their animals, influences their treatment plan.

How Many Energy Sessions will Your Animal Companion Need?

The number of treatments needed may depend on the condition(s) being treated, the age of the animal, and its response to the Jin Shin Jyutsu® session. Chronic conditions will usually need more sessions than acute ones. If the problem is strictly emotion-based, then maybe just one or two treatments, provided there are no other considerations. For therapeutic healing when the animal is healthy, a session every three to four months is normally adequate. Jin Shin Jyutsu® is suitable for any animal and any condition. It is not a replacement for Veterinary care.

Can Jin Shin Jyutsu® help my animal in their “golden years”?

Yes, senior animals benefit greatly from a wellness program including Jin Shin Jyutsu®. Because no two animals are alike each Jin Shin Jyutsu® session and program for care are tailored to your animal’s specific needs. If you are concerned that you’re animal is not aging gracefully. Ask yourself:

  • Is my animal moving slower after naps?
  • Does he/she have trouble climbing stairs?
  • Has my animal become less playful?
  • Has my animal stopped running?
  • Is my dog/cat having accidents in the house?
